Privacy Policy

LifeCounter (the "App") is a mobile application provided by Ryo Nakano (the "Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

1. Information the App stores

The App stores the following information only on your device:

• Your date of birth and gender (used to calculate the estimate from the average)
• Your daily entries (today's mood, your answers to the daily question, and journal entries written in earlier versions)
• Your bucket list (items, who you'd like to do them with, and the date you achieved them)
• Information about people who matter to you (nickname, date of birth, gender, how often you meet, and when you last met)
• App settings (such as the time of the morning notification)

2. Where your data is stored

All data is stored only on your device and is never sent to external servers. To display the home screen widget, the App saves the day's question, the number of days of your life, and today's mood in an area on your device shared between the App and its widget. Your written answers are not saved in this area.

3. Exporting your journal

Only when you choose "Export Journal" does the App turn your entries into text and pass it to the destination you pick in the share sheet (such as Notes or Mail). The App never sends your data anywhere automatically.

4. Notifications

Morning notifications are scheduled on your device. They include the day's question and the number of days of your life.

5. Sharing with third parties

The App does not provide, sell, or share your personal information with any third party.

6. Communication with external services

The App does not communicate with any external service. The typefaces it uses are bundled with the App.

7. Analytics and advertising

The App does not use any analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.

8. Deleting your data

When you delete the App from your device, all data stored by the App is deleted.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may change without notice. If it changes, we will update this page.
